Pakiri Beach
Sitting around, waiting around for Sarah to finish her swim, I thought I’d take some pictures of my feet. This was the best one. The weather, incidentally, was baaaad.
So, I’m here. It’s winter here, so we are currently basking in a sunny, but cold day. That is a change from the massive fucking storm that I landed in the middle of on monday, with 30ft waves and terrifying turbulence coming in to Wellington airport. I have sorted out the basics - i.e. a phone and a bank account - and am currently job hunting with a vengeance.
Hope everyone is doing ok out there. I’ve just come back from a cycling event the company I work for sponsor in Christchurch, where I got some spectacular sunburn, and am now suffering from equally spectacular peeling. Hopefully I won’t have any long term significant facial scarring. Anyway, Christchurch is a cool place – not so much a city as a really large small town, if that makes sense. It’s mad to see all the half demolished buildings in the centre, and every third house with a bit of plastic sheet where the chimney once was.
